10 Reasons why Merry Christmas is still relevant

  1. Christmas is first a celebration of faith, not a national holiday.
  2. The icicle light manufacturing companies would have to find another way to sell lights.
  3. I don’t care if the government doesn’t allow Christmas stuff – they should focus on debt reduction anyway.
  4. For those of you from a different faith, thank you for your well wishes and a Happy “_______” back at you for your faith celebration.
  5. Many Americans still celebrate it as a tradition. I think we need more traditions! They are too often lost in our culture.
  6. It is a definite retailer boost (OK, I’m a retailer)
  7. What would we do with all the pine trees?
  8. We now have the ability to track Santa via GPS. If we give up now, we’ll lose the soon to be live video feed from the sleigh.
  9. It gives Michiganders, and so many other northerners a reason to stick out the cold weather. Lighted palm trees just don’t cut it.
  10. Last I looked we live in a free country.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a happy and prosperous New Year!!

PS real valuable posting starts again in the New Year!
