King Tufted Headboard – A tufted headboard can create drama in any bedroom while also adding interesting texture and a focal point. Creating a tufted head can be done at home for a fraction of the cost and provide the same luxurious feel as that of a commercially sold headboard. Depending on the level of knowledge and patience, a tufted header can be created in a few hours. Determine the measurements of the header.
Use a tape measure to measure the width of the bed or mattress to be used with the king tufted headboard, then add 2 inches to the measured width, according to the Therapy Department. The height of the headboard is a personal preference, but it must be measured from the top of the mattress to your preferred height on the wall. Mark the width and height measurements with carpenter’s pencil on the MDF and use a saw table to cut the MDF along the lines.
Create a network for the buttons. The eyelets should be evenly spaced for a symmetrical pattern. Use a tape measure and pencil to mark where each carpenter’s king tufted headboard button will be mounted. Drill a small hole with a ½ inch drill bit in each pencil mark. Fit the foam to the MDF. Spray one side of the MDF with spray adhesive. Place the foam evenly on the MDF and press to fix.
